Are you an experienced sales rep working in the Education K-12 Sales Market in connection with the SLED Space? Do you have at least 2 - 5+ years of both Hardware and Software Sales experience? Are you looking to join a growing company?

THE RIGHT STAFF is assisting our St Paul, Minnesota Client with their open Direct Hire Inside Sales Account Manager opportunity. Seasoned Sales Professionals with at least 2+ - At least 4 years of experience in Sales in the K-12 Marketplace and former teachers are welcome to apply! Training Provided!

This role will be selling into school districts to promote the company’s technology services. Primarily remote, with up to 20 - 30% travel needed to ie: tradeshows and client sites.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunter mentality
  • Self-Motivated and a passion for the education sector
  • Proven success in consultative sales, building solutions, and managing a large client base
  • Exceptional Technical and non-technical communication skills
  • Accountable, high integrity, passionate and can effectively facilitate presentations in person or virtually
  • Self-study to build industry knowledge and stay on the cutting edge of technology in the education vertical
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Minimum:

  • High School diploma/equivalent
  • 2 years of phone/outside sales or equivalent classroom experience
  • Proven track record cold calling into the SLED (State, Local, Education - U.S. Govt) space
  • Ability to work in office 2 days/week
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, being on phone calls and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times

Preferred:

  • 4+ years of Education Technology sales in the SLED (State, Local, Education - U.S. Govt) space
  • Proven track record selling complex IT/AV solutions
  • Classroom instruction in the K-12 space
  • Experience with state contracts and RFPs
  • Able to travel in MN up to 20-30% for ie: tradeshows and client sites
  • BA/BS Degree

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build client base through account acquisition and growth of existing clients in school districts under 2500 students and government agencies
  • Work in a fast-paced environment calling on leads, white space accounts and marketing campaigns
  • Research marketing pricing and prepare competitive proposals while ensuring healthy gross margins
  • Able to position/present entire portfolio of products/solutions, services and capabilities
  • Partner and build relationships with top tier manufacturers and distribution partners such as Lenova, TD Synnex and Google
  • Attend/present at educational conferences and lunch and learns
  • Meet/exceed monthly behavior and sales goals
  • Leverage CRM system to document client conversations, sales,, and forecasting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams pre and post sales
  • Self-study to build industry knowledge and stay on the cutting edge of technology in the SLED space

Direct Hire

Hybrid - Arden Hills, MN

Full-Time

1st Shift, 8:00/8:30 a.m. - 5:00/5:30 p.m., Monday and Friday Remote AND Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday On-Site

Base $50K with Variable Comp: Estimated $33KCommissions & Addl Incentives for year 1
