Senior Accountant
Santa Rosa, CA Direct, Full-Time Onsite Construction
Santa Rosa-based Construction company is seeking a direct-hire, Senior Accountant to provide support for all accounting operations of the company. This is a fully on-site opportunity with a salary budget between $110,000-$130,000/year, depending upon relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background previously working in the construction industry and will also have strong experience in WIP progress/schedules.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Accurately prepare Work in Progress (WIP) schedules and forecasting as needed
Perform analysis on job budgets to costs, job profits, job revenues, billings, and backlogs
Tracking, collect, and enter fixed asset data
Prepare job cost allocations, journal entries, and reconciliations for various accounts to assist with the month-end close process
Provide support for the accounting team on annual audit documentation, respond to audit inquiries, and ensure timeliness of year-end audit deliverables
Accurately prepare and facilitate ongoing analytical review in support of the monthly billing process
Special projects and other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field
5+ years of experience working in the construction industry required
Prior experience using construction software highly preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Experience using Excel (mid to high-level)
